It is distributed in palabak island and Palawan Island of the Philippines.
Mollusks in tropical areas like to live in warm waters, and their habitat ranges from sand bank, mud bank and reef bank. Usually, they are ambush in the daytime and emerge at night. They usually eat meat and feed on other mollusks, worms and small fish. The venom sac in the body of the conus snail is transmitted through a poison tube to the toothed tongue which turns into an arrow. When prey approaches, it sticks out its snout and stabs its venomous tongue into the prey. The tooth tongue of taro snail will be broken every time it is used, and it will take some time to grow out again. The smaller the shell, the stronger the toxicity.
The venom of taro snail belongs to protein poison, which is similar to that of venomous snake. If you are bitten and poisoned, you will feel red, swollen and tingling. The common symptoms are burning sensation and numbness, and then gradually spread to the whole body, causing weakness of limbs, muscle paralysis, hallucination of consciousness, and fainting gradually. The final cause of death is myocardial weakness.
The meat is edible, and the shell is made up of various colors. The flower pattern is beautiful and can be viewed and valued.
