Shape characteristics of conus jinlingensis
Jinling conus is very similar to Royal conus. In fact, the biggest difference is in the size. The palace conus is more than 10 cm, and the golden feather conus is only 6 cm. There is an obvious ridge on the shoulder of conus jinlingensis. The shoulder of Royal taro snail is relatively smooth. The tent pattern of conus aurantii is more delicate and dense, and there are small white spots in the red area. The tent like patterns of Royal conus are more rough, and there are no patterns in the red area (the background color of Royal conus is generally much deeper than that of golden plumed conus). It's the same as the golden plumed taro snail. Its color is quite different. Not only the color is different, but also the color can be different. The shape of conus aurantii var. jinlingensis is one of the most changeable species.
It is distributed from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
Mollusks in tropical areas like to live in warm waters, and their habitat ranges from sand bank, mud bank and reef bank. Usually, they are ambush in the daytime and emerge at night. They usually eat meat and feed on other mollusks, worms and small fish. The venom sac in the body of the conus snail is transmitted through a poison tube to the toothed tongue which turns into an arrow. When prey approaches, it sticks out its snout and stabs its venomous tongue into the prey. The tooth tongue of taro snail will be broken every time it is used, and it will take some time to grow out again. The smaller the shell, the stronger the toxicity.
The venom of taro snail belongs to protein poison, which is similar to that of venomous snake. If you are bitten and poisoned, you will feel red, swollen and tingling. The common symptoms are burning sensation and numbness, and then gradually spread to the whole body, causing weakness of limbs, muscle paralysis, hallucination of consciousness, and fainting gradually. The final cause of death is myocardial weakness.
The meat is edible, and the shell is made up of various colors. The flower pattern is beautiful and can be viewed and valued.
